World energy still depends on finite, consumable fossil based energy sources. This way is not sustainable. Inogen focuses on non-fossil renewable energy mainly solar, wind, biomass.

Since 2010, the cost of energy has dropped by 82% for photovoltaic  solar, by 40% for wind energy quoted by the International Renewable Energy  Agency in 2019 report.

Todays world energy generation is mostly centralized where the generation and consumption sites are for apart causing inefficiencies transmission losses and costly infrastructures. Due to these reasons millions of world population still does not access to electricity, especially in rural areas.

Instead, renewable energy networks where the generation and consumption sites are close and small, smart grids will be a total solution to humanity due to much less cost of infrastructure. This way uneven distribution prosperity wealth will be balanced to a certain degree.
